no, just swap over vin #'s....did the same on my vw, and had no problems..they dont know what color the dash is, they just know what color the car is lol

these cases vary ive seen cars impounded for that and some cops say you have to put the right VIN tag up there you shouldve put your original 1 no hassle

use a drill bit not to big and drill out the rivit and the re revit it back on i do it on every dasj i swap no issues yet if the vin dont match when they look there will be issues.

just swap the vins its not like ur trying to do it illegaly just swap the vins. if anything just say sumone tried to steal ur car and fucked up ya dash thats y u swapped it and u havethe paper work for the dash so u should b good
