NEED HELP! K20 should i supercharge? n/a build? or turbo?

Heres the deal ive gotten to the point with my build that im thinking about doin some cams on my motor. I really love n/a but i was kinda thinking about goin supercharged cuz ill make over 300whp and 220 torque which would be alot of fun for a street car. On the other hand ill make great power with a set of nice cams as well, obviously not 300whp but hopefully a good 250whp. I dunno i guess i just wanted to get some opinions.




Also: if i do go with the cams what is your opinion on getting my rbc intake manifold ported and going with a 70mm throttle body? Do you guys think that the bigger throttle body and rbc porting will make a difference that would be noticable. If so, how much extra horsepower & torque do you think i would gain from adding a 70mm throttle body and porting my rbc manifold.

yea im not gonna go turbo i had a 527 whp turbo rsx and dont get me wrong it was a beast and a lot of fun but i just love the all motor feel in the hathy... im not sure what im gonna do but some comments and ideas will help thanks

talk to NHswaps. cams and ported IM is basically all he had and he went mid 11's. well worth it IMO

no. he's got an ek hatch.

nick went 11.5 on the same power your car has now.

i'd do cams, springs/retainers, get your rbc ported, bigger throttle body, and spray it. i'd never turbo a k20. especially a k20r. compression is too high for boost to be reliably fun, whereas nitrous <3s high compression. i'd put a 75 shot to it.

ps, fred- if i'm not mistaken, i don't even think nick's rbc was ported, just an off the shelf unit.

make sure you do the bigger throttle body last, i did it first in my car.. and it made NO difference and it is 10mm larger..

my buddies buddy has a twin screw supercharged rsx-s and that shit is FAST. stock motor just built up. I THINK he's pushing 320hp at the wheels. so if you supercharge a k20 you'll be set in my opinion. you'll merk on pretty much anything. he keeps up in the quater mile with the 08 m3 coupe. and thats saying something for that little car.

yeah im just gonna go all motor .. decided to do some hytech cams with supertech vavletrain, ported rbc, 70mm throttle body, and possibly switch out my hytech 2.5 inch twin loop for a 3 inch .. i woulda did 3 inch from the start but they didn't make a 3 inch twin loop and at the time i cared if it was loud but not nemore haha.. thanks guys

yeah im trying to do all hytech parts .. i already have the exhaust header and ported rbc from them so im just gonna do the cams do so everything is from one company ... if u call him and talk to him he makes them ... he really doesn't advertise much...
