that would depend on certain things like have you lend tools before and never got them back has he busted tools before that you have lended does he owe you money there are alot of factors that mite put a price on your tool but if there aren't any then no you shouldn't charge him.

wow, I never charged any of my boys to use my car lift ($3000) . Don't see why people would charge for a $100 jack (give or take a few bucks). Some people are cheap as ************.
