02 civic keys lost .....help!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got in a 02 civic sedan. But these no keys. I called honda. And they said because of the immoblizer, I have to tow the car there pay for the new keys and the programming to the immoblizer. Any way of getting around this? Someone said there is a way of starting the car with a cut key. But honda has the info u have to hit the brake or some sh*t.

Anyone here work at honda??

u mite find the key cheaper online but thats about it honda still has to program it at the dealer.

what about if you had them make you a valet key...I dont think theres a chip in that...because when they used to come in off the truck those were the only keys that used to work.

cars are usually in transport mode on the truck which means that you cannot drive over like 20mph, etc any key that moves the car requires a chip or you have to use an ecu that doesnt look for the immmo chip or goto the dealer

just get it towed there theres no way to start that car unless you get somebody elses ecu and their key and it might start. but you might also have to change out the ignition not too hard to do under the steering column
