Shouldn't be a problem running a laptop and ps3 at the same time. What type of router is it? what type network do you have? DSL? Cable?

Do you have security enabled on the router?

Any error messages or IP conflict messages?

      1. Make sure you laptops are getting their IP's automatically.

      2. Reboot your internet system. Do this by:
Step 1: Unplug the power to your modem and router so everything is off(unplugged).
Step 2: Wait 60 seconds with them unplugged.
Step 3: Plug in ONLY the modem first. Wait for it to boot up 100%.
Step 4: Plug in the router wire and wait for it to boot up.
Step 5: Hopefully your problem is resolved.

How did you setup the router? If you used any software or CD that came with the router you may have (mistakenly) setup a MAC filter to only allow certain devices to have access to the internet and your home network. I imagine the second laptop can see the wireless signal but can't access it. It may need to have its MAC address added to your "safe" list.

                start>run>CMD>ipconfig /all

make sure both pc's are pulling (IP address, subnet mask, default gateway)
thats 1st step, if they are not pulling those u no the pc is not pulling what it needs from the router, to connect to the internet,
                Delete my account
