Got a ticket... HELP!

Well, yesterday... stupidly... I went to hartford, to see how the racing was. got a race in and then went to hang out at the gas station. Then the cops pull in and brake it up. I pulled out of the gas station without my headlights on and a cop pulls me over. I end up getting a $75 fine for driving without my headlights and a $225 fine for having an improper exhaust.

Question is:

If I change my exhaust to a stock one and fight the ticket, can i go to the dmv in wethersfield and get it inspected. Then go for my court date and show them that i passed the exhaust inspection, and would they let me off?

Yes you can they will throw the ticket out and for the light all you have to say is who hasn't done that. you will be ok..

Yea happen to me my boy wrote up a reciept from his shop that my exhaust was changed way before I had the ticket issued... so I was good... they won't go outside to check ur car most ppl in the court r *********************s... you need some kind of recipt that shows as proof like bring it to weathersfieldand get that inspection done.... and for the lights I don't think u can fight that 1 good luck bro hope I helped a lil and lmk when this meet is gunna happen...

thats funny cause i got exact same ticket last night for no headlights and seatbelt... im fighting it because it was at 8PM and still was light out and i had my foglights on.

dam i remember when i was up in hartford at the races about 6-7 years ago and received a ticket over exhaust,,havent went back there in 1 of my cars ever again..thats why it sucks to even be going to the races because cops find any reason to give out tickets and make the city rich but we still end up with the community f#kked up and no employment or even non fixed roads at that..i rather stay home and keep my money in my pocket..lol

them cops are always out to get anyone with an altered exhaust. i got pulled over a week ago for almost the same sh*t. it was like 7 pm and still kinda light out and i had my city lights on. and a ct state police pulled me over. (the one in the charger that roams northeast ct) and he told me that i didnt have my lights on and clearly it wasnt too dark out adn it lit up the housings so what did i care. he gave me a warning for both that and the exhaust. told me i had to go get it inspected. out of everytime i got pulled over for my exhaust it said i had to go get it inspected. i never do. waste of my time and they never keep up with that.

as for ur situation, i would go take a pic of a stock exhaust and bring those pics to court adn show the prosecutor that u did change it. and he might drop that and as for the headlights, anyone could forget to put them on. expecially when the area u are in is pritty well lit up. i honestly have nothing for that one. lol

well i can change over my axle back to a stock one and then i'm going to get it inspected and hopefully get something to show for it. then when i get the court date ill go and show them that. hopefully all works out well. cause i definitely dont have $300 to drop on this damn fine... especially since im unemployed!
