so i get a call from this white kid asking about my car and asking when he could see it. i tell him i just replaced motor and tranny and did a full tune up before putting it in and that i had receipts to. so he asked where i was from and i told him near waterbury and told me it was quite a ride because he lived in colchester so i told him i'll meet him at the buckland hills mall (6-23-09). he checks the car out and asked me typical questions like when i changed the motor and tranny blah blah and i told him. i asked him if he knew how to drive standard and he said "sorta" so i told him i can't let him test drive it then since he only "sorta" knew just incase he grinds gears or some shit. after looking and talking about the car for half hour he says he likes it and he'll give me down payment of 400$ so i don't sell the car to anyone else and give me the other $3300 the following weekend and pick up the car. i said ok, he gave me the $400 and i left. later on that day i get a phone call from him and he's asking if he can pick up the car tomorrow and i said ok no problem then he started asking if i could bring it to his house cause his mom didn't want him driving it unregistered and uninsured and he offered gas money to drive it out to his house in colchester. i said ok no problem. next morning (6-24-09) i meet up with my girl and she follows me out all the way to colchester to this kids house and he gives me the gas money and the $3300 for the car. we sign the title and a bill of sale blah blah and i left. now yesterday (6-26-09) i get a phone call from this kid and he's telling me the car doesn't start. so im sitting here for half hour on the phone with his kid trying to figure out what happened. he tells me he was trying to put a new radio in and then the car didn't start. so we hang up and half hour later his dad calls me giving me attitude and shit so i was like listen first of all i didn't have to answer ur sons phone call and i didn't have to sit on the phone for half hour with him to try to figure it out and i said the car was running mint and started perfect before i sold him the car. so he calmed down. we got off the phone and an hour later his mom calls me saying "for the kind of money you shoulda gave us a running car blah blah can my son get his refund back if not i'll get an attorney". i said "first of all the car ran fine before i sold it to him. i drove it 45 min the first day wen he looked at it and 1 hour 15 min away the next day to his house. im not a dealer and i don't know what ur son has done or tried to do to that car the 2 days after i sold it to him. so get an attorney." and we hung up.
my bad its so long but what im trying to get at is there's no way she can get her money back after the title gets signed right?
