So i got puller over on rt. 140 last night at like 10 ish. They pulled me over because my exhaust was too loud and that i was pulling prettty hard up a hill but thet couldnt get me for that. Anyway i have a $225 ticket so does ct have any decible limits for exhaust and where can i get it tested?

damnn suckz man i got 2 tickets in 4days lolz..so0 they just gave u a exhaust ticket?? i got pulled over last wk and the cop said im pullin u over 4 2reasons u cut a guy off while goin str8 in a turn only lane and ur exhaust..but only got a ticket for goin str8 in turning lane n he gave me a break and said im lucky he didnt have a bad day cuz my ticket woudve been 300+ instead of the 75$ ticket..good luck

on the ticket the law # is 14-80(b) not 14-80(a) which applys to exhaust

go to court tell them your exhaust is legal..you will have to go to dmv..they have a decibal reader..he will walk about 30 ft from your car and tell you to pin it for 3 seconds..
i know the law used to be 93db..now its down to like 75db..
if you have an exhaust you will not pass...shove some steel wool in it and a silencer..or put a stock can on

ive been through this before. there isnt a decibile law in CT any aftermarket muffler is illeagal. but they will test it with a decibile reader and if its not as loud or louder than a stock exaust its fine. because its and older car things like exaust have to be replaced. so if its not louder than a stock v8 mustang your good.
