Alright guys, I don't know if you remember me posting about regular gas being poured accidentally in a diesel car. But, we got the car fixed and the ford shop told us they dropped the gas tank down and removed all the mixed fuel and change the filter and just added a higher octane in the gas. Well, once we got the car back.. We took it for a long drive to see if everything is okay. So we drove to new york which is only 60k away from me and it drove normal and fine. But on the way back home, the motor started to hesitate and started bogging on the high way. So, I had no idea what was going on and I was trying to figure out a conclusion why my motor was running like ass.. So my first thought was, maybe the ford ppl at the shop must of half ass'd on working on the van or they rigid it so i can come back and pay more stuff. Well that same day i drove it straight to the ford shop where i last took it, too see if they can reimburse me some how for there shity work. And they gave me a call the next day, telling me that im going to be spending $1,600 bucks for parts and labor to replace a whole new fuel tank, fuel filter, fuel pump, and drain the whole fuel lines again. And I was like WTF? didn't you guys just fix my car to not have problems and shit. And the guy at the service desk told me the reason why we have to replace all that is because, we found fuel tank paint stripping and it clogged the fuel filter.. And I was like, how is that possible? And then the guy said, its because when diesel and gas mix together, it makes a chemical reaction and probably caused the paint in the inside of the gas tank start to strip. And I was really effy about what he said so i was like, I don't think that's possible because we poured 3 gallons of regular gas with 1 gallon of diesel and it barely made its way to the motor.. And usually diesel floats on top of gas so I really don't think it caused the gas tank paint to strip.. And when the guy heard me say that, he started to change the subject mad fast! So i was like, these niggas at there shop is trying to get more money out of my pocket! And then I was thinking, do car company's really paint the gas tank? Because really, if there trying to scam me for more cash, im going to throw a brick at the cars posted outside there dealership.. So What Would CtVtec Do?

Gas tanks are no painted, some are treated with special clear substance to prevent corrosion, other than that, most new tanks nowdays are made of a hard plastic, which in turn require no coating or paint at all..
Second, change the fuel pump, fuel filter, pull the injectors and clean them out and you should be all set..I've seen that same problem at the shop plenty of times...
