Turbo Questions

Hey wut up its BIG_KEV. Yea im plannin to boost my coupe but i realy dont know wut to do. Because this is gonna be my first turbo so i was wondering what i need, i think i know wut but i wanna be sure, and also what do i have to get new because my engine has got 180k on it, i noe i need low compresion pistons and higher cc fuel injectors but i dont know wut else.

so any comments would be great!

pistons
rods
Machine work
engine builder
new oil pump
injectors
manifold
turbo d-pipe
exhaust
feed and return
a clutch


thats just main things it gtes really expensive depending on ur goals

let em know i have a few things for sale that u might be interested in and if u have any other ?'s just let me know i'm on my 3rd build so i have a lil expeirence..

your going to need engine managment too. basically all you need to do is make yourself a rough estemate of what you think you will spend and double it. you will always forget to add somthing like the vacum lines, spark plugs, clamps and misc nuts and bolts. b1cya is deff a good referance

i have the same motor in my daily with vitara piston eagle rods and a dsm turbo tuned with crome and the car makes 282 whp everything else is bone stock so if ur doing a single cam u can do it cheap

realy so how much u think i will spend

Depends on how much you are willing to spend and if you can pick up some parts used or at good prices. It also depends on how much power you are trying to make and what kind of parts you are using. I would think that with about $4k to $5k you could make something happen. Would you be doing the work yourself, or paying someone to do it?

like i told you with the other ************. go on here on or honda tech and search. theres a million threads on honda tech about boostin sohc engines. Theres also parts distributors with deals all the time in the classified section
