Use 5W40, only made in synthetic...Shell Rotella T (Blue Jug) is about 20 bucks for a 4 qt jug. Castrol Syntec makes 5W40 and 5W50 but they're 7 bucks a qt so I don't know if you want to spend that much money on it.

If you want to go cheaper, try regular 10W40 oil but don't use that in the winter.

k so about the switching thing, I dont think it is a myth, I was running royal purple in my 4e since i got the car, then i developed a small leak and switched back to regular oil and two weeks later it started knocking. I dont know if it was a coincidence or not, but i had no problems until that point.

              X2............All Day!!! or Amsoil.

Watch this, you'll be sold too!

FYI: Mobil one is not Fully Synthetic. I used to think so too. Do the research, you'll see.

Most Speed & Sport Shops stock Amsoil. Racers Edge in East Windsor Has All Types of Amsoil in stock.

I'm using Amsoil on the new motor. Its pretty reasonable price wise and It does the job very well. oh and Mobile 1 fully synthetic is a mineral oil based synthetic, so no it is not a true full synthetic, which is why it is said that it is the only synthetic that you can switch back and forth with regular oil while using it.

I use a S2K filter...PCX in the Honda part number.

                          Or a Mobil 1 filter.

Ha Ha Ha Yeah and it takes 12 gallons of oil to fill it up, that was funny Pete. But seriously on my girls car Mercedes told her the same thing every 13,000 miles Audi recomends every 8,000 miles. Im my civic I used regular Castrol GTX 10w 30 because I changed it once a month, but in my daily driver I use Castrol Full Synthetic 5W 30
