Umm u better tell your brother he can't include those mags with that gun as they are now considered high cap and it is a fellony for the buyer and your brother to transfer or sell them or buy them in CT or any other state that has a high cap mag restriction. I have a bunch of guns I can't even carry anymore because they don't make 10 round mags for them. Owning firearms comes with the responsibility to make sure u know the laws. Don't be ignorant and get someone caught up with a fellony charge cuz u don't know what is or is not now legal to own. Your brother probably wants to get rid of it because he can't do shit with it now besides keep it in his house or bring it to the range because they don't even make a 10 round mag for that gun.

Also if your brother now decides to keep this gun because anyone who buys it won't be able to legally get mags for it (therefore can't shoot it) make sure he registers those mags and any other mags he has that are over 10 rounds by January first of 2014. If u need a link to the forms pm me. I'm not trying to be a dick just don't want to see any fellow gun owners get caught up in some shit over the new bullshit laws.

Bump for what a gun u can't buy mags for? He should take the whole thread down since its technically constructive intent to illegally transfer high cap mags. What the hell are u gunna do with a gun u can't get mags for? And since u can't get mags for it in CT the gun is worth about $250 I had a few in the shop case brand new for $445 a few months ago. As soon as he gets the authorization number from DPS for the gun the date time and serial number of the gun are recorded so they know when he sold the gun. Now when it comes time to register the mags and it shows he bought the gun with mags when it was illegal to do so both partys are going to jail. His best bet is to post it on gun broker and sell it to someone in another state that can do what the hell they want with it and he will probably get what he's asking. Think of it like buying a car u can't register only difference is with the car u just get towed and get a fine, with the gun you get fellony charges and are going for a mandatory 5 years.
