If you want a small, very loyal, smart and low energy dog, id get a shetland sheep dog (miniture collie). have one and he is awesome. Shelties are rated at like number 4 or 5 in intellgence (right behind its bigger cousin the collie). They arent big and they arent small, they get to be a maximum of about 25-35 pounds. My charlie i very quiet and calm. Hes one of the best dogs ive ever had.. deffinately reccomend the breed.

Yes I will agree I had a Sheltie, He passed away Feb 13th this year. They are the BEST by far.
