    UPDATE:

    Recently I picked up a f23a4 block and stripped it down and compared the rod width to a h22 rod.. The f23 rod is a lot thinner then I had expected compared to the h22s rod which gave me a doubtful feeling to go ahead with a g23 setup along with the fact that I've been hearing that f23 rod bolts are weak and like to come loose or break... Also, with the f23 having the low r/s ratio I saw first hand what abuse the pistons and cylinders go through on this motor. The piston skirts had all sorts of wear on both front and back....left me very questionable about going through with this.

    Got me thinking a lot about this build again. Here's what I came up with tonight:

    F23 and f20b main journals= 55mm
    F20b stock bore=85mm
    F23 stock bore= 86mm

    F20b rods have a the same big end bore as the f23 (which are 48mm, the same size as b series for people who don't know) but have the pin bore and thickness of a h22 rod so h22 pistons work on f20b rods!.
    So :

    F23a4 block bored over 1mm to be 87mm total
    F23a4 girdle.(not sure if this works yet just an idea because the f23 has a thick ass girdle)
    F20b crank
    F20B Rods
    CP forged h22 pistons (87mm 31.00 compression height -6.9cc)
    Kiezenspeed balance shaft delete kit for less rotational mass, weight and oil pressure increase.
    Idk if the f23's oil pump is any different then h series and other f series yet but should do fine.
    Custom double deck h22 intake manifold with jdm h22 throttle body, ported and matched to ported jdm h22 head.
    Injectors= calculating cc requirements...

    The 1mm over bore will match up the h22 head combustion chamber bore with a matching h22 piston so no worry about the hot spot issue like the g23 has.

    Valve reliefs are made to work already unlike a g23 with k pistons setup.

    Piston to deck height clearance with a stock head gasket = -0.016mm
    Compression ratio = 9.4:1
    Displacement= 2092.53cc (2.1L)
    Rod to stroke ratio = 1.65
    Max piston acceleration=131989 fps2
    Mean piston speed = 1948 fps

    All tied together with turbo cams and boostttt with possible safe rev capabilities of 9000 rpms on a 2.1L. And the amusement when you pop your hood and people think its a stock f23 block with a h22 head that's going to blow up when its really a "F21b" monster in disguise.
