  • Timing b questions

    A buddy of mine told me that when changing a timing belt, if I put it in Top Dead Center I don't have to worry about the cams moving on me.. I just want to make sure this is true before I do it ya kno. Looking for any responses, and thanks for looking everyone !!

    doubtful normally cams spin a lil when u pull the belt off so u would have to turn them back

      how can u fuk up honda cams timing?!!??!!? it says up with an arrow on the gears.

        That and u can lock the cams in place lol

          Well my problem is I don't have the tool to hold DOHC cams still!! Any ideas?

              i posted on ur other thread as well ive never had an issue with doing t belts i just set timing before the old belt come off and ive never had an issue with anything moving u dont really need the special tool to hold everything.

                I used allan keys to keep the cams in place
                Ej1 b18 sleeper,Ej2 z6 daily,Ek9 y8 ladys car.Built not bought...
