  • LS Supercharged Ideas???

What's good ctv.. So I have a complete b18a1 that I need to rebuild.. Head is good I'm junking the block because I hav a b18b1 bare block... I'm doing this right for once & am going to really take my time with this build on account my license is suspended ATM.. NOW let's get down to business... I already have a full head gasket kit, piston ring set, & am ordering new rod & main bearings... Now with that being said, on account I would like to supercharge this set up what internals should I invest in that will give this set up some good numbers(looking for 200whp) I'm looking for suggestions on cams, pistons, what's a good pulley, and what supercharger would be my best bet..(**ALSO what type of intake etc) Could i keep my stock pistons? Or should i invest in different pistons?? Now onto the the SC...I am looking for a centrifugal sc, and this is going in my daily so... Need some realism... I'm not try a spend 5gs... But am aware that this isn't cheap.. I'm looking for the best bang for my buck... Lmk ctv

might as well go turbo if you want to use a vortech supercharger. its alot cheaper and more efficent .

Everyone has a turbo set up.. And is vortech the only Centrifugal SC that is compatible with Honda motors?? I'm just Tryna be a little different.. I'm willing to pay a lil extra just to be different

bump for a SC build. stock internals will hold up just fine. dont bother spending money there. save it for good engine management and supporting bolt ons.

What bolt Ons would u recommend to give me the best bang for my buck? Also I know it's a stupid question, but what's engine management?(A good tune?)

Just get a jackson racing supercharger. I loved mine. Vortech is for higher rpm while jackson had more of a lower. I like to be sleeper and not show a intercooler. I've seen Jacksons run about $1000-2000 used. Vortech is probably more and I don't see them up for sale as much a Jacksons.

Or maybe get a gsr or b16 head and some high comp pistons and a nice tune

Another thing about the Jacksons is that the ls/non vtec superchargers have a smaller supercharger compared to a gsr/b16 supercharger. I had a gsr. I would definitely go jackson again if I had another Honda. Just becareful about temperature. They heat up quick when ur in boost. I had a air intake monitor to see the changes in my intake when in boost and not in boost. The whine they make is priceless and so are the faces on people when they hear it

i would recommend a true cold air intake, free flowing header and free flowing exhaust. pretty much the basics. by engine management i mean your car's computer (what is going to control fuel, ignition timing, etc.). You have a couple options here ranging from a chip to a piggyback system to a full stand alone ecu. which one you choose depends on how much you want to spend and how much control over your tune you are looking for.
