  • LS/VTEC JRSC w/nitrous

whats going on guys? i decided to put my build up here to see what you guys think and maybe some of you have parts as well...

Well I picked up a EG hatch CX to start with the shell. The car will be completely gutted with just front seats and dashboard. Car already has some suspension work, 2.5in exhaust, and a b swap. prob going to go 3in though.

the motor im going with is a LS block.
going to bore it 81.5 with 10:1 compression. trying to find some wiseco pistons, and eagle rods.

im using a 97 CTR head. all stock internals, light port and polish. thinking about using gsr cams, i also have 440 injectors. jackson racing supercharger with the b20 pulley.

i have a direct port nitrous express kit, thinking about a 50-70 shot.

not sure if i should go with a LS tranny or gsr, but def LSD???

any ideas? suggestions? anyone else do this? anyone with parts?

              Notes:
              1. Blower RPM calculated for an engine RPM of 8500.
              2. Boost is an estimate for a non intercooled/non-ported blower; Intake, exhaust, and camshaft selection will effect boost.
              3. Blower heat becomes a significant problem on non-intercooled (or non-ported) blowers; running above 8 psi and is not advised.
              4. Running above 12 psi regardless of setup is not advised.
              5. An Endyn ported blower makes approximately 7% more boost.

              6 psi 40 c / 104 f 88 c / 190 f

              8 psi 10 c / 50 f 67 c / 151 f
              8 psi 20 c / 68 f 78 c / 172 f

              Notes:
              1. LHT intercooler should reduce intake temperatures by 28-38 C / 50-70 F
              2. Ambient temperature is intake temperature prior to compression.
              3. Calculations based on 65% Adiabatic Efficiency for 8 psi and below.
              4. Calculations based on 60% Adiabatic Efficiency for 10 psi and 55 for 12 psi.
