And would someone look up which obd2a civic model got the best gas milage. I imagine it would have been the VX model.Actually thinking about swapping in a civic engine in the teg shell. Would be sick.
The VX was an OBD1 car. The most fuel economic OBD2a car would have to be the Civic HX with the CVT trans., EGR, & VTEC-E. I know I recently read an article in honda tuning, or sport compact car that had a "Going Green" article. They got a 97 Integra LS to run something like 42mpg, while gaining like 10-18hp, it was crazy. If I find the article I'll post it up.

Turbo your car and profit. Seriously. The hard part is going to be not punching it. I know of several people who also have built d series all motor engines putting out 42 mpg. I want to try to build an 8 valve with extremely good crankcase ventilation and a small turbo to see what I can get out of it.

                Keys to mpg
                Light weight
                Spending less time accelerating
The easier it is to get up to speed and STAY THERE with low throttle angles to more mpg you will get. And a good tune by someone who knows what they are doing (must understand the combustion process throughly to tune for mpg).
                WTF?! Racing.

i have tried hydrogen in my van and i can only get 4 mpg more..so now i can 28mpg..but im still working on it...and its easy to get any MPG gain because while im cuirsing at 70-80 mph im only at 1700RPM so at low rpm its easy to see MPG boost
Now 97 jeep wrangler 4.0l stick. catback, intake, throttle body spacer. more to come...

99 Chevy Astro Van LS. shes loaded. front and rear A/C and heat. power everything. 4.3 V6 vortec motor making 175HP at 4400RP and 280 TQ at 2800RPM. just a high flow filter thats all. runs 17's AHAH
Stock 4l60e tranny with Corvette Servo installed.
