  • Going Green..............

There is no doubt that some of the best builders, drivers, wrench heads etc... are members in this forum. Our mission for years has been to put it in simpler terms, "FASTER". Has anyone thought maybe "now" instead of faster, more fuel efficient. I wanted to start this thread to hear some of the ideas and stories everyone and anyone has to bring to the table. In a week or so I'm buying a 1996 Acura Integra for the purpose to see how far on the gallon we could push this.......

And this will go on with pics, tests, etc to put everyone's thoughts & ideas to work.

i don't see why you cant get 50+ mpg on a honda...

Your going to have to drive like an old lady that needs a cataract surgery, and has alzihimers...

a nasty tune that will lean it out enough, but still not blow up...

lightweight has a lot to do with it...

Trying to think which engine management would be best for something like this....
And would someone look up which obd2a civic model got the best gas milage. I imagine it would have been the VX model.Actually thinking about swapping in a civic engine in the teg shell. Would be sick.

actually your best bet for a teg shell would be a gsr with a wideband installed and aem ecu so that you can lean it out enough but still be safe, a civic motor would be backwards because you would have to try and get torque out of that little engine to move that heavy shell, so best gas milage setup would have to be gsr in a hatch big motor little car no need to ever go over 10% throttle.

That was one of my biggest worries was torque. When I was thinking about putting that motor in.

                            Well I bought the car three weeks ago. A 4dr with a B16 :-)

So past couple of weeks I've been geting it back to oem working order. Before I go in with tests and trials. Anyone know of a cheap way of getting instant MPG readings. Maybe something from radio shack?

try using the gameboy advanced sp for tuning. It should give you all the numbers u want for less than 150 bucks.
Too many past cars to list :P
