rewire?

hey all, i have the engine out my eg hatch and was wondering about recommendations on wiring. id love to get the engine bay cleaned and painted while the engine is out for the winter. i guess my question is how hard is it to rewire it all back together when its time for reassembly and would you recommend doing it yourself or know of a shop? any help is greatly appricciated.
