your not susspose to go back to regular oil once synthetic is changed because it will wear out gaskets faster. gaskets absorb oil over time and almost get use to a kind of oil.

As for hurtin the motor by going back to regular oil, it wont happen. The motor itself will be ok. Gaskets tend to go cuz of the detergents used in todays new oils. It all depends on how old your gaskets are.Originally posted by sys2000t View Post

I use Eneos 5w30 with hamp oil filter. You can mix regular motor oil with synthetic but it will take away the properties of synthetic. So no it's not good. Synthetic is good for those cold start ups because it leaves a light film on the engine components. Mobil 1 and OEM Honda filter is a good combo too.Comment
