  • Looking for a good CT machine shop..

    Am looking for a good shop with good prices.... to put some piston rings & hone a block out, lmk

    Where are you located? No matter who does it they are going to do their best to get the walls as srtaight as possible. Which may make for loose piston to wall clearance.

      yea I know that... am located in norwalk during the weekdays & waterbury during the weekends... but am will to go anywhere

          At any reputable machine shop if the cylinders are within .003 out of round with minimal ridge they will just hone the walls and ream the ridge at the top of the cylinder. Anything over and they'll machine it for oversize pistons and decline any work if the customer wants to half ass it.

          But yeah, I've heard great things about Mike's.
          Turbo 86' 325i, 20psi of Megasquirt lovin'.

            thunder performance in milford, he doesnt halves ass sh*t, built me a sick motor for my race car a couple years ago, he makes everything look stock to hes got the emblems stamps

              i use danbury competition engine in danbury, reasonably priced and they do very nice work, freds machine shop in bethel is good too i hear.

                There's an awesome place in Windsor.. I can't remember the name all of a sudden. They did a lot of engine work for one of my mentors from a while back.

                Arrico is also good, they used to be in Lisbon but they moved somewhere.

                  there is east woods also but i hear some good and bad idk i seen a few nasty LS turbo and LS/vtec builds that came out nasty give them a call
