Im working on my lsv build. I've been doing me research and with p30 pistons and ls rods the CR should be 11-11.5 to 1ish. people are saying to run at least 93 octane gas but would it be possible to run 89 and use water meth injection. it would raise the octane lever and help cool it. Thoughts?

You can probably run on 91 octane but not any lower than that. Even at 91 octane you are gonna need a Good Tune.

yeah i would deffinatly tune it, so there shouldnt be a detonation problem?

i dont know crap about water meth injectors i guess its a good time to look it up now since everyone saying there so great

Well, with a good tune and a good water, meth injection system you could run 89 but beware that if the tune is not good enough u might find urself in a bad spot....

Tuning is the key as always, you should ask your tuner this though, he should know more about the subject i believe. or go to dsmtuners.com and ask them, ppl use water meth injection in their dsm's like crazy.

Yeah, its a procedure used to strengthin parts, most commonly used on Stock Rods.

water meth combo is the shit you can run less boost but still make more power. Temps stay way down and the internals will show no signs of wear. i tel yo u the truth i have a meth kit in all my cars it works great just give dave a call he will tune it for you. but i would keep it over 91
