D16y8 block in a D16z6 auto trans help!!!

Swapping my block in my car because mine knocks like a bitch cylinder 4 has a rod knock putting a y8 block into my 1994 civic coupe ex d16z6 w/auto trans what problems am i going to run into and what do i need to do to make it work, o and im going to do a vitara build in the d16y8 block before i throw it in i wanna make this as quick and painless as possible so detailed info is much appreciated

Are you gonna convert it to 5spd? If your gonna turbo it i dont think that auto trans can handle any more power than a stock motor can.

Tryin to stay auto the cheapest way to gain a lil horse with better internals no boost in its near future

But it will make less power with the vitaras its drop the compression to around 7:5.1 if i remember correctly when you use stock length rods

Well then ill prolly go with high comp pistons not the vitaras

Just change the torque converter and everything else into the new engine using all the automatic bolts
