help! 98 civic coolant hose

I need help with this problem. My brother has a bone stock 98 civic coupe. Two weeks ago one of his hoes burst i believe it was his bypass hoes the one behind the dizzy that connets from the head to the block. So i replaced that and now another one of his hoes broke today. I i didnt get to check bmp it due to it getting dark but. My question is what can cause this to happen?

Yea I believe so... but would it cause them to burst one this week then the other 2weeks from now?

I mean there probably all the same age and all the same material. So there gonna wear evenly
