  • Car won't go into gear while running

    Hi I have a 98 ek hatch and I just changed the clutch and the flywheel and the slave cylinder and the master cylinder and I'm still haveing this problem I bled it good but it still won't go into gear

    Take the tranny off and see if you assembled it rite!!!
    Maybe you didn't put the throw out bearing or clutch correctly...

      I already took it out three times and this time I even brought another new clutch

            Yea the trans is good bought it off my boy drove it while it was in the car and this is the third pressure plate I tried and still havin the same problem

                was the shifter fork in the correct location? sometimes when installing the trans the fork can come off its proper position from all the moving and shaking when trying to get the trans inn. see if there is abnormal play in the shifter fork whe the slave cylinder off.

                  ok this sounds weird but try lifting off clutch pedal a little bit while trying to get into gear ur slave could b pushing to far because of the adjustment at the master i no it sounds weird but worth a shot .. if it goes into gear loosen the adjustment on master

                              Sounds like you need to adjust the pedal/master cylinder piston rod.
