1998 dx with a D16vetc .. sohc ..help!!

hey i have a 1998 DX with a EX motor D16vetc sohc .. and i want to know what to do to make it in the 250hp range .. any advice..

Don't bother with d series. Go b,h or k series and build on that. Gl

Leave it the way it is and get good gas mileage

It is a very easy task to get to that power. Don't let other fool you to swap it all out for a bigger motor or talk down on the sohc then can make the same power and perform the same as all there big brother motors.

Easiest way to get that kinda power out of it will be turbo. Yes you can try to do it all motor but you will have to buy a lot of high end parts.

If you boost it you can knock on the 190-200 Hp with a stock motor but if you have a d16y motor you are running on tight line they motors are weak to start with they have poor oiling systems and tend to blow out bearings.

If you want a strong sohc to turbo then go with a d16a6 or d16z6 and boost it stock. If you want to build a motor you can put pistons and rods in your motor now with a set of head studs and be safe up to about 300hp on boost.

so if i was to get a B series motor what will i need to build in for the 250hp range?

Get a b20 and slap a turbo kit on it and call it a day

even if u go b serious u got fully built it all motor is hard too get too 250 hp but u wont need it with 215-230 u good
