Okay so I got a d16z6, and I believe I have a bad head gasket but I'm not sure. I'm not leaking or losing antifreeze, the oil and antifreeze aren't mixxing, I'm not blowing white smoke, I'm not overheating... However, I have a oil leak coming from the front passenger side of the motor, basically where the head block and tranny meet... A little bit of oil leaks right down the middle of the tranny but the majority of it is leaking down the block where it has the block code (d16z6).. Does anyone have an idea what might be the problem? It doesn't seem like the valve cover is leaking... Thanks for looking, any/all answers will be apriciated

well this is a noob question, but at least you are asking so i'll bite. Check the the oil, if it is milky then that is a head gasket problem. If it is over heating there could be a possible head gasket suspect. But if what you see is just oil then no it is not a head gasket. As the previous post stated it could be something as simple as an O ring or maybe even your vtec solenoid gasket ,, my advice to you is buy a can of brake cleaner and spray the shit out of where you think the oil is leaking and check it every so often to see where the leak is coming from ..if you want take a well lit pic and post it up ..,maybe we can help*S14 Kouki *

This is why this site sucks. you guyy jump down his throat about being a noob and he asked a well structured question.
just because the oil is milky under the cap doesnt mean a bad head gasket either. condinsation builds up and mixes with oil and creates a milky goo sometimes under ther cap.
most likeley its either the vtec solonoid or the distributer o ring.
dont be affraid to use the search feature.
