hey guys i got a d16y8 obv but i had courl last week and when i left outta no where i started to get a knock then the car kept staling on me i keep haven ppl tell me diff things so idk what it is it would only knock as u rev no its also starting to knock when it is just idleing plz help and even if u cant help plz bum to talk to me better pm me thank u

i took the vavle cover off and i checked my oil i still good i got alot inthere so u think i need a oil changre

i got the car a week b4 it started knocking the kid said he did a oil change a few days b4for i got it but i dont think so the day it started it was raining out really bad idk if i might have got water in the motor cause of the cold air intake

You sir have a rod knock. Your bottom end is most likely blown. Where u located?

welcome to the Y series club they all blow up that have oiling issues and are know to blow up or get a rod knock out of no where they are all junk the have less oiling hold to the rod bearings and just blow up replace it with a good Y sereis motor or best bet is to swap in a JDM sohc or a Z6 or a A6 they were built better and last longer

im trying to find something cheap right now so i can get back and forth to work

4 -bottles of Lucas oil should take care of the knock , lol

so should i wus that and not my oil or put that in wit the oil

dont do that it wont help lol the more you drive it as it the more damage you will do. only way to fix it right now would be replace the crank with a good one and put a new rod or rod bearing in it.
