Ya honda transmitions are natorious for working fine until they get really hot(running temperature) then its like the car is in nuetral in any gear. I worked at a honda dealer for 2+ years and when cars like that came in they always got new tranny's unfortuanetly there is no other fix for this except a new one.

Get a new tranny and sell it. Auto Honda's are known for transmission problems. There cheap for your car. I bought an 05 tranny for my 02 civic. Ran me like a grand for the tranny and Honda tranny oil. Never will I get an auto Honda again.
