d16z6 swap problems

  • d16z6 swap problems

    after so much work on this swap, i put a d16z6 in my eg8 4 door
    but now it idles mad low at like 100 rpm and when i punch it it boggs down like crazy
    and thats if it starts at all sometimes it just wont start at all

    i also have a problem with my suspention
    when i hit the gas the tires turn right but when i let off they turn left
    without the wheel turning at all

    please help me out

      this is the oddest done quite a few swaps but none with this problem...

        hey do you have the 2 plugs that look almost the same on the intake backwards go check it out i actually just fixed my boys and the symptoms sound the same.

            intake manifold not the actual intake. next to the throttle body there are 2 plugs people tend to put them on backward run out and swap them that mite be your problem..it sound like that. lmk i'll be on

              wait, the lines? or the plugs from the harness?
              cause the lines are different sizes so i dont think one would fit on the other you know?

                plugs from the harness.. but that sounds weird u sure its good on timing?

                  it came off a running car
                  and we didnt touch the belt or anything
                  just dropped it in
                  would it still need to be retimed?

                    no , i take it its really choppy when u get it to run ??make sure ur ecu's fully plugged in i did this once ... it did pretty much what your sayin nd make sure your thermostat grounds tight... getting ne cel codes?

                          a good way to check motor mounts is on a hill w/ the hood up u jus let off the clutch a lil to strss them nd a friend to watch motor twist

                            no shit the mounts could do this?
                            we half assed the shit out of the drop cause it was late
                            so we only put in 1 stud on each of the side mounts
                            cause i had to use the old mounts and the studds wouldnt come out

                              i'm not postitive but think u hit the gas motor twist the tranny then next would b axels but may b tie rods i'm not sure jus givin ya sum ideas .. i vote try pullin on the tires top to bottom then side to side on ground then jacked up also . again helps to have 2 ppl one to move stuff one to look
