Ek problems!!! Stumped!!! Please help!!!

Ive been having a problem with my car that has been long and painful. My car will run only if you jump it. Everytime you turn off the car and go back to start it, it wont start like a dead battery. I replace the alternator and it still did the same thing. Bought an alternator tester and tested the alternator and it is good. I also tested the battery, fuses and checked all the connections to the battery, starter, alternator; all tight!!! I am running out of idea to check but I think it may have something to do with the ECU. When I turned off the car last, I heard a loud pop/noise from where the ecu is. Could this be the problem? Or does anyone else have any ideas? Please and Thank You!!! Happy Hondas!!! :)

sounds like your starter is bad

did you check the ground to the tranny also check the lil pin that goes to the starter with a test light have someone crank it while you got a test light to it maybe it's not getting a signal could be a few things but start there.

I forget to add that when you jump the car then it will start and run fine. I thought if it was a starter that it would not start at all even when you jumped the car???

No, Actually, if the starter is Bad, you cant jump start it. Your thinking of Pop starting.

I need it fixed bad but have absolulely no money to pay someone to fix it. I hate paying people to do it because im going to school to be a mechanic but just havent gotten started yet.

The Automotive Industry has fallen on its face. You might want to consider another Job profession.

I am currently A Dealer Technician at Lia Honda in Enfield. 4 of my co-workers & myself, were sent home early today, due to a lack of Work. Other manufacturers are just shutting down, Honda is still alive, but even they fell off, in sales & repair numbers.

yea its bad i work for meriden hyundai..i kno hyundai but its a job...bpt hyundai and milford hyundai are closen its gettin crazy...so i would just save a few bills have h23vteclude come out and show u how 2 work on ur car
