  • D15B7 died on the highway, CEL turned on immediately.

What's up CTvTEC, I'm having some problems with my D15B7 and can not figure out what's wrong.

I was driving on the highway when I contacted a small bump and my engine turned off. Right when my engine turned off, my CEL turned on. I got the car towed to my friend's house because the engine wouldn't turn on.

I wasn't able to wire up a scanner to the OBD1 plugs because it's stuck at my friend's house and when we tried to use a paper clip in the OBD1 plug, the CEL remained solid.

We think the problem is fuel not being able to get to the engine. We aren't hearing the fuel being primed when we turn the key. All electronics are up. We tried to replace the main relay and bought a new fuel pump but the CEL is still there and the car still doesn't turn on.

My friend and I are stuck. Any suggestions CTv? I know I should just get a scanner but it's not possible right now.

check your ground wire on the thermostat housing asap thats the signal for your ecu and the cel will remain solid if that ground is bad and also your fuel pump will not prime because of this

              yes sir

the thermostat ground is the ground for your ecu so check it

there is a ecu fuse in the under hood fuse box check it

if they are both good your ecu is no good check it
