  • D15 Swap Issues

This is a half-assed swap that I'm trying to finish with for the time being until I can get the engine I want into it so bare with me lol.

I put a friends D15B7 into my 2000 hatch that of course had the D16Y7 in it since it seized up. His harness was all sorts of fucked up after he pulled the engine out so I'm having to use my OBD2 harness instead of his OBD1 harness. I bought a plug that allows me to clip my OBD2 harness into his OBD1 computer. All plugs are in and properly by the looks of it as well as hoses and I haven't found any vacuum line leaks. I'm also using my old fuel rail and injectors that came with my D16Y7 since his wasn't compatible due to missing one piece. ALSO my OBD2 dizzy since it clips into my OBD2 harness.

Here's the problem. I start the car and it idles fine and sounds good I guess but once I step on the gas it has a late throttle response and if it goes up to around 1,500RPM it shuts off. I was thinking it's the fuel rail dumping too much fuel into it and choking it? It can't even take a tiny hill since it'll shut off. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be? I know it's a HALF-ASSED install but it's just for 3 months at least and I need to get this thing running asap.

Basically all these on the D15B7:
    OBD2 dizzy
OBD2 harness with conversion cable to connect to OBD1 ECU
    D16Y7 fuel rail + injectors.
Working...
