  • Rebuild a D16Y8 help ?

What is a good build to do on a y8? I would like to boost it in the very near future. My goals are 200 to 250 whp.
If someone can help put a list of things i'm going to need
for a strong D16Y8 with turbo

First off you need a f22b1 and then you boost it to 10pounds and there you have a 350 hp no issue

you can make that all day on a stock block. I would def use a catch can to relieve the crank case pressure, upgrade the map sensor, adjustable cam gear and a good tune.

you cant do that one a stock y8 or any (y) series motors because that are known for poor oiling systems and goo chance you will blow the motor up.. and with that being said i would not recomand building or puttin money in to building a (Y) series motor i would start off with a d16Z6 motor and then put a set of eagle rods and vitra pistions some arp head studs and maybe a cam and you can make 300 all day long.
