1.6 vtec swap question

I have a 97 civic with a 1.6 can I slap a sohc vtec head on it and the intake manifold?
and does anyone know can I put calipers off of a 95 on my 97?

Yea u can slap a vtec head on there

no you cant just slap a head on there! there is alot more workin involved. youhave to swap intakes and the dizzy and depends what intake manifold you run you might have to re wire the IACV from a 3 wire to a 2 wire and then you will need to wire in vtec. and good chance a knock sensor since the EX vtec ecu will be lookin for a knock sensor.

I'm going to have the whole 95 for parts so I should be good it was a running car till the rod went thru the block I want to use the intake man off of that

if a rod went threw the block, it prolly bent some valves.

the 95 intake is all different. and the head takes a different dizzy so you would have to rewire that dizzy to work in the EK

You'd be better off finding someone parting an ex Ek. Get the head, intake mani, ex. Mani/and cat. The engine harness and ecu. Then all you have to do is wire in the 2nd o2

It's easy ...just gotta find the right person. I did it and had Dave wire the o2 car was perfect and it was a dx ek

I can get the whole parts car for 300 maybe ill try it my boy vtecventry is good with wires
