saw this on honda tech, its from 2004
"Hey everyone...heard this thread was going around on HT...so I thought I would jump in and let everyone hear my .02cents.....

It's me Sharon....Jay's cousin...the one Nate was talking about =]

Well, to update everyone out there...
      1. the car is still around we haven't raced it for...about 4 years now....
      2. It has been sitting and so has it's motor (SOHC still ready to drop in and play if necessary)
      3. Jay and I we're only racing the car as a hobby...b/c we we're both in school
He was getting his degrees...I mean wouldn't you like to be a Doctor?!
      4. We did drop a B-series motor for one race @ Pomona actually...but that wasn't our motor...We had previously blew up the SOHC & Sheng (JDMHondaparts) let us use his motor b/c his car wasn't ready ...but only for that race... so we didn't really switch out to b-series

What else is there? & no it's not a secret where the car is....you can tell

Thanks boys for backing up the car ....*nate, eric, & chris* ...I mean really how can you other guys be talking sh*t.... really don't you have anything better to do... I mean I would understand if you're car was faster than it was back in the day....but really 11 sec SOHC in 99.....you can't talk shit"

Lisa Kubo was hot back then. I had a b16 in a crx in 1998. I didn't know anyone back then around me with anything more than a set of drop springs on stock struts. I dropped every penny on tenzo everything. SAP lives. Who remembers that?

Gude, JG, DPR, TRD and Jackson Racing were the pioneers on the west side with all the imports related $#!t. Through the years their jobs on imports engines went outrages, money wise speaking. But they know their $#!T and that comes with a price. These people believe that FWD 4 cyl. engines will beat the 13, 12, 10, 9 sec. barriers some day. They weren't wrong. Sorry Muscle Cars it's Imports time, move aside cause' Imports are comming, even stronger and cheaper. I'm a proudly owner of a JG tb, cyl. head w/ cam and port match i.m.
PS: Their believe was Naturally Aspirated engine Only. No nitrous, sc, or turbo $#!t

I'm squirling away dough weekly. I talked to bill gude this past week. He's still at it. Seems prices are down from the past years. Looks like ill be putting together a single cam non vtec littke screamer this time around.

My personal opinion if I ever need another engine work I'll go with DPR next time. Why are you asking if anyone had any experience with Gude?

I asked the question because I've never bought anything from him. Id like to know if people here have. And if they did how did they like the performance of the product. Was it a good choice in a product.

I'm not looking for massive horsepower. Just a little bump up. A streetable setup. Maybe a track day here or there. Nothing crazy some of the cars I've seen recently are a big jump from when I had my last crx. Which was the late 90's.

Try to find some used mild cam made by Web-Cams, a nice used bored T.B. & a p.p. cyl. head. with a good set of valves made by the people that i just mentioned above. all that with a centerfold clutch & filled motor and tranny mounts. plus your car on diet... u know what i mean... you should be all set with that...
