2002 EM2 backfire

Hello,
my 2002 EM2 Ex suddenly got a check engine light and backfires at 4500RPM when Vtec kicks in. I begin losing power and I have to pull aside to shut the car down and turn it back on for it to run perfectly fine again. Once the car hits 4500 this issue happens and nothing occurs before then. Can anyone help me out?

I have a P0420 code on it and it's strange that the car backfires at 4500RPM but idles perfectly fine and drives perfectly fine up to 4000RPM.

I have two other codes
P1361 (Top Dead Center Sensor 1 noise ignition system or misfire)
and a
P1298 ELD Voltage High.

prolly a bad/clogged cat since the code is 02 related on a side note the em2 peice of shit ECU's love to go bad.

I decided to hold off until fall. I have the money and came close to buying one but it has a bad 6th and another had a salvaged title. Now I sell the em2 and I can go back to saving for the Evo. I need to fix this em2 though.
