    I kno theirs HUNDREDS of threads online about this subject but i feel more comfortable here lol

    So is their anythin else to change besides the knoc sensor, dizzy, mounts?
    ANd how does it run on the heavier chassis?

    I personally would never go through that hassle again.

    not worth it. get a y8 and plug and play.

                there is no hacking involved in putt in a Z6 in a EK and it dont matter what they all say it is proven the y series(y8,y7,y5) motors are all junk they were made with poor oiling issues from the factory they is why the dont make them any more puttin a z6 in there is the best thing you can do for the car.

                you dont need to do much at all the biggest thing to get over is the crank sensor you can do it two ways jump it at the ecu with two clips or you can do it the long way and repplace the oil pump with on from a y series( new not used) and all the crank sensor and gear.. the kock sensor is easy and the dizzy is easy then you can run the y8 intake with all the y8 stuff.. if you google it or look on other site that have alot more and better info you can get a step by step write up...

                try www.d-series.org there are a bunch on there.

                          What ports? They all spin rod bearings. How is that not a crank issue? Y cranks have one oil port all other sohcs have 2 from my knowledge. Idk I'm driving right now lol

                            the oil ports threw the block are small and dont flow as much oil at the other block so it kills oil flow and yes the crank has less oil ports but that is half the battle some people can corey parts of the block and oil pump and more oil presser but it is all just a bandaid and helps but not a fix.... that is why the pre 96 motor are best to build

                              Throwing a z6 in a ek is a headache , gotta buy jumper harness & a lot of etc stuff , & at the end your gonna end up with a cel , causee it'd lookinq for the knock sensor & cfk , way too much & not worth it'd . .
