  • 99 civic ex swapped ---d15b---- knock sensor

ok going crazy guys .....my second car"daily driver" a 99 civic ex just bought a jdm d15b for it and intalled it car runs good but keep getting a knock sensor code, did the "cfk" bypass only check engine light i have is for knock sensor does anyone have a Bypass trick for it or any idea for relocateing it..... the d16y8 that came out had a spot already for the knock sensor but d15b does not have a spot for it ...... the only thing i can think of is running a jump down harness and throwing a p28 on it, really wanna keep it on the "p2p" ecu for emission reasons........ any ideas are welcomed

Best bet is to get the step down harness and get the right ECU for the motor so the dual stage vtec works right. I'm pretty sure there is a way you can bypass the knock sensor too though.

A p28 doesn't look for a knock sensor either though so you could probably get away with just using one.

Didn't read that lol but in that case then yeah I think I've seen a bypass on one of the forums before.

Just plug the sensor in! Let it dangle!

I was just about to say that lol but it might have to be in the motor. If I remember correctly on my f 23 a1. I broke it when I changed the head and tryed to let it dangle but didint work but that was an accord 98 and I didint know much back then cant remember if I had the code reset. But i digress. It might have to bein the motor to read the knock from the motor to work properly.
