cant get my mini me swap to start need help

dude i just did a min me swap to my 94 civic hatch and i put a d16z6 head on the d15b8 block and i did everything you are sappost to so im confused can anyone help me why my car wont start what do i need to get it srarted and please need help fast

im getting fuel spark and compresion but i think the timin is off because im goin by eye with the timin mark on the pully because i dont have the plastic cover with the timin marks so i think i might need a timin gun or someones help

#1 you can't use a timing light on a car that doesn't run. And #2 I told you in the other thread what to check bro. Its process of elimination start by checking all the easy/cheap things to fix first.

Towards the front of the car advances it and towards the windshield retards it. Also check your firing order (what spark plug wires go to which cylinders from which spots on the distributor).

No you shouldn't need an aftermarket cam gear, as long as you put the timing belt on right you should be fine. Just go on google and look up D16Z6 firing order and it will give you a diagram. If none of that works I would open up the distributor and check the cap and rotor because its possible those need to be replaced too (cheap fix).

If it's off timing by a Lil n everything else is good it will start n run bad. But what does itdo. Does it crank n not start no crank. ???

mechanical timing is off.. take the crank pulley off and look at the crank gear align it with the timing arrow on the block then align cam gear with marks on the head. you CANNOT eye mechanical timing !!!

well it cranks but no start and stops for 1 second then keeps cranking but im charging my battery then i tryed timin it better maby this will work proble not but i will see

if its stopping and clicking then it doesnt have enough battery power to turn it over, so jump it. it doesnt matter if the timing is off 180 degrees off, it will still try to turn over if the starter is hooked up

its trying to click over but i think the cam gear stops for a second the keeps spinin so im trying maby i will get it

check all ur grounds if the ground isnt tight itll do it
