where is crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor located

hey does anyone know exactly where the crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor is on a 96 ex d16y8 the damn cel light went off and thats the code that it gave me so apparently its intermitant not sure if i need a new one so i gotta check that out

never heard of it. only thing close i can think of would be crank position sensor...

CKF is on the lower timing gear. in the timing cover. the wire comes out near the alternator

test the wires there is a issues with some cars the harness has a intermet short. but not hard to change pull the belts off alt.p/s a/c and then pull the crank pulley and there it is. i have a few used ones if needed

also if you google it you can go on FFsquad and there is a write up on how to bypass it so you dont have to do all the work.

google it there is a bypass trick it is about 2 min fix at the ecu that will cost you 5 bucks turn the light off
