hondata only work for obd1??

hey ctv ight well ive been lookin everywhere and i cant get any definet answers about this one and i checked the hondata sight and it looks as if they said the hondatas s100 s200 and s300 only work for obd1...maybe i miss read somthin but anyways can anyone shed any light on this matter? i got a 96 ex y8 and i would love it if i could stay obd2

isnt it illegal to go ob1 on a car that comes obd2 or somthin like that or it wont pass emissions or somthin
