Header question????

What ctv. So am trying to install my full cat back including headers. Took it to the shop and was told if I install the headers it eliminates cat converter, and it's illegal. Now I've seen cars like mine with headers on. Can someone please tell me what I need to do or tips suggestions anything... Thanks

if its a y7 and the cat is off the exhaust manifold just put one underneath the car like a ex ..

try to do it yourself i guess. its more or less a grey area i would imagine. the shop prolly cant do it legally, but the only real concern the state and po pos have is noise, smoke/smog, and emissions if or when you have to go through it.

its a pretty dtraight forward install. jack on stands, remove old, replace with new, and make sure shit it torqued right. grab a haynes manuel for pics and instructions. you can also prolly find pics and install stuff online too.
