Aight heres da scoop.... I got a y8 head on my b7 block, vtec solenoid is installed and everything... Since i didnt have the harness so it can be plug and play,, i ran the wires to my p28 ecu... (solenoid to a4 and oil pressure switch to d6) after everything, im still not poppin vtec... Does any1 kno wut can i do... Ps. I tested the solenoid by connectin it to 12v and it worked...

If you used splices/twisted wire together and electrical tape solder them all (like $15 at radio shack and an hour of your time), check your grounds, oil level, check to see if the little filter going to the solenoid is dirty and clean the screen, try swapping your ecu into someone's car you know everything works in, check your coolant temp sensor, check your oil pressure sensor. That is what I would do in that order.

I dont have any codes... And the only car i put my ecu in was a gsr integ and he said he couldnt pop vtec... But i think maybe its because it was twin cam instead of single but idk... My oil level is good and wen i put the solenoid on it was clean.. I think..lol but ima take it off and see if its clean.... Anymore suggestions? OH YEA I USED SPLICES FOR THE WIRES WITH ELECTRICAL TAPE... AND NOW THAT U SAY DAT ASTRO... AFTER I PUT THE HEAD ON.. MY TEMP GAUGE MOVES UP AND DOWN LIKE I NEED A THERMOSTAT...
