I need help with my D its runing hot after driving it for 15 to 20 min i took out the thurmosat ran the fan derect and it is not leaking into the oil pluss the water pump is good and working what the hell is going on

Are you throwing a cel? What mods do you have done to it? Next time you drive it feel the upper and lower rad hoses. They should be the same temp. Also your car will run better with the tstat in (lots of poeple pull them out to try to run cooler but end up running hot all the time).

overheating problems.
1. water pump
2. thermostat
3. electric fan
4. temp. gauge sending unit
5. thermosensor
6. burst hose
sometimes could be a headgasket problem.

Very good chance the head gasket bad on a lot of non vtec civic they used very poor quilty gasket and are know to come apart. Very easy way to tell is put a funnel on the rad fill it up and let it idle with the fan.working if it.never stops bubbling then you are working with a bad head gasket. Also feel the air that the fan blows out.if it is cold or warm and the car.is up to temp it could be a bad waterpump not pushing well it should be hot.air comein out.of the fan.
