d series help bad!!!!!!

i got my 98 dx wit a y8 out of a crashed ex and i put it iin sired up the knock sensor and the vtec and put in the p2p vtec ecu and it runs but it has no power un less u ease into the throttle if you jump on it or try to take of normal it sputters and pops does it sound like electrical or mechanical plz help been at it for months now had like ten ppl help me and it jus wont work plz help

Pull your codes...guarantee it is throwing at least one. Sounds like a bad map sensor.

the only code im throwin is for a 02 sensor which is the one at the cat cuz i neva put it on wen i got the swap it had a auto throttle body so i changed it but i jus swapped the sensors are they diffrent from auto to manual it has me stummped

no o2 will mke it run like shit. also on e dx you prolly have the 3 wire iacv and the y8 is a 2 wire. cheack you timein it could have jumped a tooth if it was hit hard.

ok so timing good and i changed the iac too the 2 wire already thats y im sayin it is confusing i did a leak down that was good and a compression test 160 across the boards
