car runs like shit til 3800 rpm

I just put a mini me in my car wired up vtec and have no more cels on but the car runs like shit until about 3800. i was wondering if mignition timing could be off because vtec is suppose to pop at 4k and thats when it runs the best. Any ideas would be helpful

check the timing you have to play with the dizzy to get it perfect.

could it be a bad dizzy the timing is mint and i tried advancing it and retarding it and no change.

ill take any ideas at this time its a y7 bottom end and y8 top end and a chipped p28 with no knock or o2 sensors and vtec at 4k and 7600 rev limter

there was 21 and i think 23 what ever the vtec selenoid and pressure switch is but since i wired them up no more codes.

maybe bad tps check the voltage at closed and wide open throttle
