Help pls!! D15 sohc vtec

I have a 95 civic coupe. I Had problems wit my motor, it was overfilled by 2 quarts of oil. This cuased smoke to come out the exhuast, white smoke. THe oil was drained and the car was fine for a few days and it started up again. The seals on the motor were changed, and that didnt fix the problem. I saved up and buaght a new d15 single vtec the motor was in running good, and today i start it up and its smoking. I dont think it had anything to do with the engine so what can it be, since its obviously not the head like everybody said? It doesnt do it all the time just sometimes, itll put and smoke white which smells like gas. One thing i heard was replacing ECU, anny suggestions?

Do a leakdown test my dude! Then there will be no speculation on what it "could" or "might" be. It could be a lot of things; intake valves, exhaust valves, rings, or a combination. If it was boosted it could even be a leaky turbo.
