    i got a d16z6 with a d16y5 vtec-e harness and it redlines at 2100 with a obd2 ecu and dpsent wanna start with a p28...please help!

      thanks...still doin it...My map and tps sensors r in the right spot... can someone please help me!!!!!

        get a new harness try that try another ecu try another dizzy try diff things till you find out do you know anyone with those extra parts

          Get the check engine light codes, they will tell you exactly what is wrong.

            i did use another harness and another dizzy...nothin...

                  Once you pull codes we can most likely tell you wtf is going on with your car or how you can figgure out what it is.

                    first get the right harness 4 the Z6 an second dont run a obd2 ecu.

                    also wat car is this in?

                      i believe u should be running a obd1 ecu..
                      Vtec gets you head, Boost gets you Laid

                        Didn't notice that you are using a obd2 ecu. You need jumpers (one for ecu and one for dizzy) to make it work properly with that ecu, or get the correct sh!t and it will probably work correctly...are there major differences between vtec and vtec-e harness? I would think just an extra wire or two for the third stage of vtec, all the sensors are probably the same.

                          im runnin a p28 with a 0bd2 to 0bd1 jumper harness....i got my shit runnin..thanks for the help guys...ya i ran the codes and i got the tps and MAP circuit high input so i actually just changed out my throttle body cuz i had another layin around.. fixed it..it runs perfectly fine now..and there r a lot of extra plugs wit the vtec-e harness....the vtec plugs r actually different!..but i got it all runnin...just need to weld my exhaust a little and my cars finally back on the road...just til i can get a job and get money for a swap..an obd2 swap lol.. and this is in a 98 dx coupe
